Our Dogs Do Not need to be Fixed. They Need To feel Safe.

Hello, I’m Clare
Your Certified Dog Behaviour Consultant - here for you and your dog’s well-Being and peace of mind.

About Me

I’m Clare, and I offer gentle, online support for sensitive dogs who struggle with the outside world and for the people who care deeply about them.

I work with dogs who may feel fearful, overwhelmed, or reactive on walks, and with guardians who are often sensitive themselves and trying to do their very best in a noisy, demanding world. I am based in Redditch in the UK, my previous business was called Paddy’s Paws which was named after my own Spaniel, who has been my biggest teacher when understanding reactivity and nervous behaviour.

My approach is calm, supportive, and rooted in understanding with both ends of the lead.

I’ve spent many years supporting dogs with anxiety and reactivity, particularly where fear shows up on walks. Alongside formal learning and training, my work is shaped by real-life experience; listening closely to dogs, observing what they are telling us, and helping guardians feel more confident and less alone.

I believe that progress doesn’t come from pressure or force, but from safety, patience, and small, thoughtful changes that suit both dog and human.

Today, I bring together my practical experience, empathy and understanding to offer gentle online consultations designed to meet you where you are, helping you understand your dog’s behaviour, reduce stress on walks, and find calmer ways forward that feel manageable and kind.

My Approach

I believe anxious dogs do not need to be ‘fixed,’ they need to feel safe. My gentle methods are force - free and up to date.

A Personal Touch

Get to Know Me Beyond the Practice

When I’m not supporting dogs and their guardians, you’ll usually find me in the quiet of nature, I have an allotment, and rescued hens and love being outside.

My own Spaniel is called Paddy, he is ten now so walks are quieter, focussing on the present smells and sniffs. We may stop a while for a coffee and to share cake!

These simple, grounding moments inspire the gentle, mindful approach I bring to my work with dogs.

“In the quiet connection with a sensitive dog, we discover trust, courage, and grace.” ( Clare Francis - Gentle Dog Support )
